CSQ plays concerts, too!

Although the Camerata String Quartet is primarily an event group: weddings, receptions, dances, etc., ...we also play in concert settings.

In February we played our first full length concert at the First Unitarian Society Meeting House in Madison, Wisconsin. The 75 audience members were treated to music from North American composers, Amy Beach, Jessie Montgomery, and Richard Rodgers, as well as South American composers Heitor Villa-Lobos and Carl Lebidinsky. CSQ cellist Amy Harr arranged a tango by Lebidinsky.

From an audience member: "You gave us a fabulous noon concert Friday at FUS and we will never forget it! May I borrow the name Fantabulocity to describe it? Thank you for the hour of pleasure and enlightenment!Thank you for the variety of repertoire - all new to me! I had goosebumps many times. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, comfortable and thrilling. I wouldn’t change a thing! If you would ever like to play that program again I can offer my house and space for 30 guests! Carry on, Camerata! You are a treasure!"

This concert was free and open to the public. We hope to repeat this program in a house concert and other Madison area venues in the coming months. Let us know if you have an interest in booking CSQ for an exciting performance with a sit down audience.

NEXT UP: CSQ is playing an after dinner program for the fund raiser for the "Classically Christian" radio station (89.5 FM) in Baraboo at the Baraboo Art Center on March 20, 2020. And then wedding season starts! First 2020 wedding in Madison on April 17!!
